Official Follow-up Training Curriculum

This curriculum has been prepared in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications "Conditions and procedure for training motor vehicle drivers and motor vehicle driver training curricula" (Riigi Teataja), the Adult Education Act (Riigi Teataja), and the regulation of the Minister of Education and Research "Standard of Continuing Education" (Riigi Teataja).

7. Conditions for starting studies

A person who holds a provisional (primary) B-category driving license is admitted to the training course.

8. Learning outcomes and content

The graduate of the curriculum meets the qualification requirements of a B-category motor vehicle driver (Riigi Teataja). The learning outcomes and learning content necessary to meet the qualification requirements are set out in Annex 5 (Riigi Teataja) of the national driver training regulation.

9. Total volume of study, including the share of classroom, practical and independent work

The total (minimum) volume of training is 6 hours. The minimum volume of theory training is 4 hours, including 1.5 hours in e-learning, 0.5 classroom hours on Zoom, and 2 hours of practical/seminar workshops. The minimum volume of driving instruction is 2 hours.

11. Description of the learning environment

The e-learning environment Teooria.ee (Liikluslab) used for e-learning meets the requirements set out in the regulation of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications "Requirements for study aids, training areas and training vehicles of motor vehicle driver trainers" (Riigi Teataja). Classroom learning takes place on Zoom. Slippery road risk avoidance training is conducted on a slippery track that meets the requirements set out in the regulation of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications "Requirements for study aids, training areas and training vehicles of motor vehicle driver trainers" (Riigi Teataja).

12. Completion requirements

The theory and driving instruction topics set in the curriculum are completed.
